For this assignment, we are looking at the work of Che Kumar, an illustrator whose work is inspired by his many travels across the globe.

Hailing from London and using the pseudonym Cheism, Che has spent time in more than 60 countries, from travelling only overland from Mexico City to Ushuaia, Argentina, the southern most city in South America, trekking active volcanoes or driving in a campervan to Uluru (Ayers Rock) in Australia. These experiences form the basis of everything Cheism stands for – whether he is creating a feature wall in a Mexican cafe; sketching hot air balloons over Cappadocia; or recreating cityscapes in his trademark colours, travel is at the centre of everything Che creates.

For the assignment, you will be picking a city that has no less than 3 buildings of architectural interest to draw. You will draw these buildings and design a background. You must decide if you are inking the building with color or black. NO MARKERS for the back ground. Try soft pastel or watercolor. Paint before inking.
